El 9 de abril, Geoff Barrow de Portishead sacará a la venta su primer proyecto de hip-hop llamado Quakers.

El disco homónimo saldrá vía Stones Throw Records y cuenta con 35 contribuciones de diferentes artistas. El núcelo del grupo está formado por Barrow, el ingeniero de Portishead, Stuart Matthews (acá conocido como 7-Stu-7) y el productor australiano Katalyst. Los invitados incluyen a Guilty Simpson, Aloe Blacc, Dead Prez, Phat Kat, Princo Po y más.

Las 41 canciones que contiene la producción están unidas y forman dos discos, el segundo formado por versiones instrumentales, lo que hace un total de 82 canciones. Algunas de estas versiones instrumentales formaron parte del soundtrack que Barrow compuso para el fim de Banksy del 2010, Exit Through The Gift Shop.

Otras colaboraciones de Barrow incluyen un nuevo disco de su trío BEAK> más un lanzamiento de DROKK, su colaboración con el compositor Geoff Salisbury.
