Hace un tiempo les contábamos del disco de canciones de Bob Dylan homenaje a los 50 años de Amnistía Internacional. En ese momento sólo sabíamos de algunos artistas y las canciones elegidas. Ahora conocemos el tracklist completo, el arte de tapa y la fecha oficial de lanzamiento.

Chimes of Freedom: The songs of Bob Dylan honoring 50 years of Amnesty International está compuesto por 4 discos entre los que se dividen 75 canciones de Dylan covereadas por artistas de todas las tallas como Patti Smith, Pete Townshend, Joan Baez, Adele, Elvis Costello, My Morning Jacket, Cage The Elephant, Ximena Sariñana, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus y muchos más.

El 24 de enero es la fecha elegida para que este compilado de covers salga a la luz, tanto en formato digital como físico. Todas las ganancias del disco son para Amnistía Internacional y sus proyectos sociales. En este caso, gran parte de lo que ganen estará destinado a la lucha por los derechos a la libertad de expresión.

De esta forma, Chimes of Freedom no sólo es un disco que homenajea la lucha de Amnistía Internacional, sino que también festeja a uno de los grandes de la música mundial de todos los tiempos, Bob Dylan.
